This vest was a fabulous steal, picked up for $9 at Anthropologie. It is a bit tricky to match, as it doesn’t really go with white – but it’s comfortable and creates a great bump profile.

Dua Lipa
styleWe had the absolute pleasure of seeing Dua Lipa play for the second time, with a fabulous show at Echo Beach. She was gracious, charming and sounded like heaven.
One of the highlights, after a glorious show, was when Whitney Houston’s “I wanna dance with somebody” came on, causing an impromptu dance party on the beach sand.
From dinner before the show at Chubby’s Jamaican restaurant to the aftermath of the concert, things get progressively more sloppy; always the sign of a successful evening. Also: proof that you don’t need alcohol to have a good time. Mwah!
Zara Dresses for Now and Then
styleI went on a spree a while back and feel VERY happy that I did, since each item was selected in the hopes that it would fit now (then, several months back) and later (now, now).
One fave feature of Zara’s website is that you can search the sale section by size. Nothing was over $30 and every item can be tried on at home, returned in store – no questions asked, and you can source all the stock in one place (way better than going to several stores for hit-and-miss sizing).
Knowing a baby was in progress, I selected a few great, stretchy pieces. Thanks Zara!
What is your go-to online shopping destination? Why is it your favourite? Any sites that you have tried and now avoid? How did you get burned?
OOTD white lace and shell
styleThis is a pre-pregnancy dress, with a vest from a friend, some little kicks and a vintage shell necklace.
Ps. Please excuse the lack of ironing
True Blue Baby
styleThis bump fashion is going strong, considering my preference for loose, swingy clothes I’m feeling very fortunate. Today was a comfy one (thank you Fashion forecasters for keeping running shoes as an appropriate option… I could not be more grateful).
It’s still a bit crisp in the mornings, so a bright patterned bomber is perfect for the a.m. I can’t tell you how many times I get compliments on these vintage shell and rope earrings. A friend gave them to me second hand, claiming ‘they are so ugly, I have no idea how to wear them… but I honk you can pull them off.
I take that as the ultimate challenge. If someone says it’s unwearable – let me at it.
I know I’m lucky to be feeling so good right now…Even at 7:30 am when these were taken. I’m welcoming all the changes this pregnancy body is bringing. I also just got a big delivery of maternity pants in the mail. Cannot wait to integrate them and get into some pants that don’t squeeze around my middle.
Cheers, from almost-seventeen weeks,
Xo A
