Making the most of a blooming garden and loose, breezy summer clothes.

Why is it such a task to upload a few snaps from the UK trip? Maybe because I’m seven months pregnant. Yup. Probably that. But here is an OOTD with rose quartz necklace, beaded bracelets, rose tank, cuffed boyfriend jeans and a colourful HM dress worn unbuttoned as a layer.

Muwah

Heading to a beautiful house in Prince Edward County, near Sandbanks Provincial park… and I’m ready to go. With WhoWhatWear’s inspiration, I made a list of my own and some pics for good measure.

H&M (above) has some awesome suggestions for easy vacation palettes and pieces that mix and match effortlessly.
I’ll be packing basics that intermix easily, go from day to night (just in case it gets chilly) and can go anywhere – from poolside to the fruit orchard, to the winery (not for me) or small town street for ice cream.
Stay tuned for sun and fun pics with the little nieces and family!
Luckily the dusters and kimono layers I so love are a perfect fit for summer and baby.

Don’t forget shoes that let your feet breathe and items that don’t dig in. If you haven’t tried wrap around pants that tie at the waist … do it!
This is a pre-pregnancy dress, with a vest from a friend, some little kicks and a vintage shell necklace.

Ps. Please excuse the lack of ironing

Inspired my my stylish friend, Leah, this is a simple and versatile pairing. Stripes as the base layer. Animal print flats. To dress it up, add a sleeveless blazer. To keep it casual, a sleeveless denim layer or no layer at all. Bright jewellery and … voila.
Picked up this incredible tunic, in teal and chambray blue with tassels, on our last trip to Santorini. Over maternity ‘boyfriend’ jeans, with seashells, bright flats and a side pony – I’m revelling in summer.

What are you wearing for summer time?
Palazzo pants in a smooth, flow material, black top. Sparkly flatforms and a fresh mani-pedi. I have been enjoying the tassel necklace I made after a trip to Portugal, inspired by the colourful jewellery I was seeing throughout our trip. It was the perfect rainbow of colour to accessorize for pride month … discreetly. And nothing makes me feel more entitled to a bit of pampering (hands and feet) than being targeted by a homophobic little twerp for being out at my job.

Happy Pride month. We’re here. We’re queer. We’re not going anywhere.
For the Inside Out Film Festival I needed a day to night outfit that was going to take me from screening to after parties.

Daytime is for pineapple flats and velvet details. Night time is when the heels come out. Small swaps had me party ready!
For more on this year’s fab festival, stay tuned.
I don’t know which is more embarrassing, that I noticed Aria, on Pretty Little Liars, was wearing my dress, or that I was watching PLL and watched every season (if I’m being honest).
But today’s inspiration was an easy tie-waist dress, from Anthro, with pretty cutout details; paired with booties, a cute bag, and embellished cardigan, I was ready for the slight drop in temperature. The belly was definitely racking up style points with the above-the-bump bow.
